Anna Makri is a Greek polymathic artist based in London, specializing in fine art, fashion, set design and creative events curation.
Her artistic journey began with a degree from the London College of Fashion, followed by collaborations with prestigious luxury brands such as Roksanda, Craig Green, T LABEL, and Charles Jeffrey Loverboy. Anna has contributed to numerous Fashion Weeks in London, Milan, and Paris, as well as creative photoshoots and custom-made clothing for high-profile editorials such as VOGUE India and Schön! Magazine.
Painting remains central to her practice, distinct for her abstract use of colour, shape, and negative space, along with intricate hand-drawn elements, and poems. Anna's work is a reflection of her distinctive artistic vision, using art as a powerful tool for expression, connection, and communication. Her multi-faceted career path has led her to pursue an independent practice, excelling as a painter, set designer, and events curator with her debut exhibition ‘KSENOI.’
In addition to her creative work, Anna is passionate about engaging communities through her creative workshops. She designs and facilitates workshops that foster artistic expression and community connection, offering participants a platform to explore and share their creativity whilst connecting and building new relationships.
Anna's diverse skill set and extensive experience in craftsmanship have made her a versatile and adaptable artist. Currently working as a freelance artist, she collaborates with various independent artists and brands each season, whether it involves designing and stitching collections, constructing sets for runways, hand painting backdrops and sceneries as well as curating shows and events.
